Alexandria flip enters the home stretch

Whew! This has been a whirlwind!

I can’t believe it’s been almost five months since we purchased our adorable little brick rambler in Alexandria. Scott and I hoped to have it renovated and sold within 6 months, so technically we’re on schedule, but I would have loved to have it done by now.

Renovations always take longer than expected. Much, much, much, much, much, much, much longer than expected. MUCH LONGER THAN EXPECTED. If you think it’ll be done in a month, don’t add a week to your timeline. Triple your timeline!!!

That being said, we planned accordingly and are doing alright.

As for the renovation itself, we’re in the home stretch for sure! The plumbing, electrical, floors, tile, cabinets and counters are done. The exterior has a new roof, landscaping and paint. We’re still working on the driveway, closets and a few finishing touches.

Not to mention, I started a blog! Here’s my latest video, showing off the unique second bath. I love to take risks and purposefully chose not to do a boring, bland renovation. It may not appeal to everyone, but I’d rather have one buyer love it than 100 buyers think it’s just okay.

I can’t wait to show you all of the before and after pics. They’re (hopefully) coming soon!!
