Welcome to my Vlog!

Anne Cutler YouTube Vlog

I’m going to be honest with you. Moving to DC had been hard. Very, very, very hard.

New Orleans held a special place in my heart. It’s where Joe and I began our married lives together. I had an incredible group of friends, a wonderful job, bought my first home, and gave birth to both of my children. So, it’s no surprise there would be an adjustment moving to DC. I just didn’t realize how big of an adjustment it would be.

It’s easy to blame the military for uprooting us or my demanding television career, but at the end of the day, my happiness is in my own hands. So with that said, I’ve decided to pursue some new endeavors that bring me joy.

For starters, I bought a house. Not just any house, a flip! With funding from my brother, we established Cutler & Cutler Virtual Realty, LLC. He’s the money-man, while I’m the designer, architect and general contractor! We’re four months into our first project and it should be ready to hit the market in October.

Second, I’m starting a vlog, or video blog. Why not combine my 14 years of television experience with my love of renovation? I only have a few cell phone videos to start, but you can follow the progress of my projects on my new Youtube channel!

I hope you’ll subscribe and join my adventure as I tackle this new endeavor. Eminem once rapped, “I took my bruises, took my lumps, fell down and I got right back up.” Sometimes rough patches are exactly the motivation we need to do great things.

And trust me, there are plenty of great things to come!

After renovating our home in New Orleans, LA we decided to do a true flip! We bought a 3 bed/2 bath house in Alexandria, VA that hadn't been touched since it was first built in the 1950's. Walls are coming down and plans are being made!
We've torn down multiple walls and completely blown out the over-sized laundry room to make a bigger kitchen, master bath and open concept living area.
I always like adding a twist to my renovation projects, so we did something a little different in the master bath. I bought an over-sized gray subway tile with beautiful natural edges. Then, we hung it vertically in the corner shower to bring the eye up to where we'll have a stunning brushed-gold rainfall shower head!
