Saying goodbye is hard to do.

This week, I bid farewell to my precious baby and headed back to work at WGNO News.  Most any mom will tell you, it's not easy.  However, as much as I love being a mother, I love my work as well.  It's in my nature.

So, it's been a refreshing return back to Good Morning New Orleans.  Don't get my wrong, the hours are awful and I think about Brooks non-stop, but it's nice to hear from viewers, exercise my brain, have adult interaction and do the job I've been passionate about for more than a decade.

Grandma Cece is also making the transition much smoother than it might be otherwise.  She's in town for two weeks, helping care for Brooks, making us dinner and most importantly, sending me daily videos and pictures!!

Who knows?  Maybe one day I'll decide to stay home full-time with the kids, but for now, I know they're in great hands while I return to the WGNO anchor desk.

See you on TV!
